I’ve had many different hair colors over the years, but one I had never tried before was green. Everyone I saw that had it looked absolutely amazing, and green is one of my favorite colors. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to do it properly, so it wasn’t all that noticeable.
I couldn’t fully bleach or dye my hair just yet because I had just gotten an industrial bar a couple of months before, so the best I could do was using Overtone on my ends. Industrial bars can take up to a year to heal, but we all know I can’t wait that long without changing up my hair. I’m too impulsive for that. There’s ways to properly bleach and dye hair even with piercings still healing. However, I had some issues with the healing process in the early months, so I didn’t want to risk it.
That being said, I was definitely tired of the blank state of my hair after several months of it.
Since I didn’t have much in the way of green Overtone, I split it half green and half purple. It wasn’t very bright because I was nervous about getting it in the piercings, but I got frustrated with how the color looked against my skin, so I didn’t do another round of it. Because I didn’t like how it looked, I also didn’t get very many pictures of it. I’ll probably try again in the future, but I’ve now learned what not to do when it comes to having green in my hair.
